Lets shed a little light on the confusion. First, the WHI study and the subsequent media reports about HRT are based on Commercial HRT only. They are based on findings about the combination of conjugated estrogens and medroxyprogesterone (called PremPro). Thus, when you hear about HRT in the news, this is what they are referring to Due to massive media coverage, Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) has sparked a large amount of controversy. Comments were made regarding health risks and negativity surrounded the women’s health initiative, which was halted eight years ago. We want to help clear up the chaos of confusion. To start, regarding the women’s health initiative, the media coverage that took place were only reporting on HRT, and based on Commercial HRT only.
